Material and hardening options

Our shredder blocks are produced from high quality raw materials and heat treated in vacuum furnaces for optimal wear and impact resistance. Based on your input material, your plant process and our 20+ year knowledge, KAMADUR can recommend the most suitable steel grade and hardening

• 1.7131 case hardened for input materials with high level of contamination such as RDF, C&I, mixed post consumer plastics and WEEE. Hardened outside layer with softer core increases impact resistance of these shredder blocks. For those really tough input materials this means less broken shredder blocks and lower repair cost.
• 1.2379 through hardened for general purposes. Recyclers of plastics, metals, rubber, paper and organics prefer this grade due the great balance between wear and impact resistance. Vacuum hardening adds durability through better microstructure to achieve the best lifetime between blade rotation. Best value for many for the average recycling operation.
• Tungsten carbide inlay and solid for exceptional lifetime when processing abrasive input materials. Customers that process agricultural film with sand, nonwoven with cabron fibre wires, thin aluminium sheets or nylon fishing nets from the ocean have found better output at lower cost over lifetime with KAMADUR shredder blocks in tungsten carbide. For extreme inputs, select the hardest shredder blocks.

Which shredder block fits my machine?

Shredder blocks are available for Lindner (Jupiter, Universo, Micromat), Vecoplan (V-Eco, VAZ, VVZ), Weima (WL, WLK) and other single shaft shredders used in waste processing and industrial material reduction. All blocks are produced to OEM dimensions for fast installation and predictable cutting performance.
