Our Dreher knives are produced from high‑wear‑resistant 1.2379 (D2) tool steel, a proven material for industrial cutting applications.
Each knife is CNC‑machined, precision‑ground and heat‑treated before undergoing triple tempering. This ensures a balanced combination of hardness and toughness for extended sharpness.
For abrasive materials such as glass‑filled plastics, we supply carbide inlay (TC) knives that can last up to 10× longer than standard D2 blades before sharpening.
The lifetime of a knife depends on the processed material, machine settings and operating hours.
