Cumberland knives are made from high quality 1.2379 (D2) steel, machined with CNC techniques, and hardened in the most advanced furnaces. They are triple-hardened to achieve optimum microstructure, resulting in exceptional wear resistance, durability and strength. For extended life when processing reinforced materials, we also offer blades with carbide inserts, which last significantly longer than standard D2 steel.
